Admissions — Important Notices & General Rules

Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting an admission enquiry or form for Shishu Model School, Hamirpur. Seats are limited and priority is given on a first-come, first-served basis.

General Rules for New Admission

• Online admission query/admission forms for classes Nursery onwards are available. Hard copy is available at the school reception and can be filled at the time of admission.
• Priority will be on a first come, first serve basis.
• Kindly note that the school has very limited seats in each class.

1. Important Notice for Nursery Admissions

Age Criteria for Admission to Nursery: As per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the child must have completed 3 years of age on or before 31st March 2026 to be eligible for Nursery admission. If the child does not meet this criterion, consider Pre-Nursery.

2. Important to Note

• Only fill up the enquiry/admission form if your child meets the age criteria as per NEP 2020.
• Nursery: Attainment of age 3 by 31st March 2026. Otherwise apply for Pre-Nursery.

Classes VI – IX

New admission is granted on merit only when a Transfer Certificate vacancy occurs in the particular class. Because vacancies are unpredictable and limited, a fair selection is ensured by conducting an informal screening — a Cumulative Aptitude Assessment (written) in English, Hindi and Mathematics if a vacancy arises. A merit list is prepared and admissions are granted sequentially on merit.

Class X

As per CBSE bye-laws, no fresh admissions are generally granted to Class X. An exception exists only for children of Government employees on transfer — such cases require the father's Transfer Order to be attached and are referred to CBSE for final approval.
